Night Cycling

Wow night cycling was fun really...
Never really got the courage to cycle on roads but I did...
Though sometimes dangerous... like beating the red lights... lolx...

It was an eventful night... we went from East Coast to Changi Coast Road to watch the planes take off and land...
Then we went to have supper at Changi Village...
Then we cheong down loyang ave, then bedok reservoir, then eunos, the Charis!... Took pictures there...
Then on our way to You Tiao Da Wang... one of the bicycles' tyre tube burst...
Spent 2.5hrs trying to resucitate it...
Gave up... Huiling volunteered to take cab to sent the "casusalty" back to east coast, while the rest of us rush back to east coast...
Went to the jetty to sleep for an hour...
Washed up and wen for Bs...

Windsurfing Camp

Yeah! It's a fun-filled camp...
And a relaxed one too...
Very relaxed program...
Almost OTOT...

I reached there early...
At 12...
Met Justin.... Filled some forms and waited for the rest to arrive...
In the end there were as many seniors as the freshies... lolx
And the funny thing is I mixed better with the seniors than the year-ones...
Maybe because they knew each other before hand le ba...
And I signed up alone...

Anyway at the end of the first day I managed to sail out and come back doing a 180 degree turn... yeah... Thank god for the mild wind and small waves... makes it easier for beginners...

Then we had BBQ and the food is good...
Then some peeps wanna go cycling and they went...
Then some peeps wanna go Old CGH and they went...
So we played some vball... some mahjong... some bridge...
Then we all fall asleep...

The next morning passed by slowly...
Those who went CGH have not came back...
Those who went cycling are still sleeping...
So we went down to the sea with the seniors...
Got a lot of tips from them...
So very quickly can sail liao...

Afternoon lesson we learnt a few more techniques and rules of sailing... and we went out to practise...
This time the wind is stronger and the waves are stronger and to get out of the bay we had to sail upwind... Took me nearly 2hrs before I finally got out of the bay...

Last night I dreamt of myself windsurfing... shucks...
think I like the sport quite a lot sia... lolx...
And now I'm level 1 proficient...
yay... And it's only 8 bucks for 2 hrs of surfing... cool!

TUF Camp '06

This is my first TUF camp and I find it awesome... appalling...
While I was in another church I went for their camp, but I felt so different...

TUF camp was not just about the games...
No doubt the games are fun, and we tire ourselves out...
But the best thing is God's presence in our midst...
God really touched most of us..
And for myself...
I first time felt so close to Him...
And I wanted so much more...

Most camps...
They cause people to be fired up...
And the firepower dies down...
Week after week...
But I believe... that this is not just a fire-up...
ITS A CHANGE THAT GOD IS MAKING IN OUR LIVES... AND ITS STARTING NOW...

Champions of Champions

It was raining outside, cold, thunderstorm...

It was warm inside on my couch watching the finals of World Cup 2006...
Occassionally the television would blank out due to the storm...
But it doesn't matter anymore...
On the other side of the Earth there is a batttle going on...

Clash of the Titans, I would call it...

Penalty in the 6th min equaliser in the 19th minute... These were not just highlights of the game... No they're not... Because the game is so fierce and at any point of the game, there were many and equal chances to both sides...

But alas! after 120mins of playing... penalty is the only way out...
No doubt, as the commentator has put it... Italy has lost 4 out of 5 penalty shoot-outs...

Lippi was ready for it..
Every substitution they made seemed to be getting ready for the penalty shoot-out...
As opposed to the fast and fiery pace the italians showed in the first 90mins,
they were sluggish and played purely defensive in the extra time...

I think the entire France team has been tricked into losing this game...
Italians obviously are well-prepared for the penalty shoot-out...
And they forced the game into one...
Secondly...
Zinedine Zidane was tricked into committing a outrageous foul...
Materazzi is "guai-lan" I know...
But ZZ was too overwhelmed by his emotions to care less...
He might as well injure Materazzi so that both cannot play...
Stupid...

Now the battle's over...
Trezeguet's gonna get his ass screwed by Domenech...
The storm's still raging here...
And I'm gonna sleep...

Really...

And when I first read SiaoWen's email... I din believe
TAXIS DUN GO BY METER ANYMORE...
I'm like... What kind of civilised society is this?
Gosh...
Think I slightly bent towards being racist...
But...
This is not my first time overseas...
I dun feel "this" in Taiwan...
I dun feel "this" in Brunei...
I dun feel "this" in Indonesia...

This feeling, (maybe I'm too sensitive), reminds me that I'm being watched...
Reminds me that I'm in a country that I do not call home...
Reminds me that I must be on high alert at all times...
I think even if I've did my application online I still wouldn't be able to shop with a peaceful mind...

That's my first time to M'sia...
Hope that won't be my last...

Shocked when the teksi reached...
I thought the teksi dropped us at the wrong place...

Really big effort... the girls were already there the day before...
SHOPPING... and setting up the place...
We did our part by putting up the balloons and the buffet line...

Big House, Big Family...
I think the atmosphere is just right...
She only invited her pri school friends, Sc, and sx, kx, ced...
Not too segregated crowd...

And a lot of cameras...
1 ran out of batt...
another one already at the back stand by..

Only jerhsuan, shouwen, kaixiong and myself stayed over...
Sang K through night until JH just fell asleep...
just nice to catch the last 3 goals of the 3rd, 4th placing match between Portugal and Germany...

Woke up quite early...
And had to come back early cause must keep it under 24hrs... lolx...
I had a great time.

France won...

It was a beautiful match...
Excellent defending from France...
Thuram was just too on form... haha...

Sad case for C.Ronaldo...
I think it is the worse thing that can happen to a player...
He got boo-ed at everything he gets the ball..
And I mean EVERYTIME...
For a player of his cailbre...
It's such a waste...
And probably not able to play in Man U or other english clubs...
What a pity...

Italy 2 - 0 Germany (extra time)

Wow...
fantastic match..
Plenty of chances for both sides...
Germany was much weaker...
And Italy...
was playing so well...
all the through passes...
all the long passes...
were accurately delivered...
Yet they could not beat the keeper Lehmann...

Not until the second half of extra time...
A fantastic pass from Del Piero...
An awesome and perfect shot from Grossi...
Satisfied our anticipation...
It was so perfect that there was no way Lehmann could have saved that...

Germany with their morale down...
Conceded after the 2nd goal...
